From Estate Planning to Studebakers

Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Lancaster County, Pa., Barron Publishing Co. was launched as a platform for the development and publication of a series of educational estate planning books. The business has transformed over the years into an independent publisher of books that appeal to antique car enthusiasts.

About the Author

Mark L. James is an avid collector, exhibitor, and driver of postwar classic cars. He is a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA), the Hudson Essex Terraplane Historical Society, and the Society of Automotive Historians. Mark is an AACA Senior Master Judge. He also likes having his own cars judged, and his Studebakers have won five AACA National Awards among many other AACA Awards. His classic cars have also been judged at Hilton Head Island Concours d'Elegance (Outstanding Postwar Automobile), Boca Raton Concours d'Elegance (Most Elegant Postwar Automobile), Concours d'Elegance at Copshaholm (Most Outstanding Studebaker), Philadelphia Concours d'Elegance (Overall Best of Show), Hemmings Motor News Concours d'Elegance (Best of Show Finalist). Mark is the author of A History of Hudson and Its Nine Most Fabulous Cars, Studebaker's Hidden Treasure: The History and Design of the Studebaker Golden Hawk, and Studebaker's 1962-64 Gran Turismo: Final Flight of the Hawk.
